Don't Assume All Serverless Is the Same
People think serverless is serverless—like, once you go that route, you just use whatever cloud you're already on and get the same result. That's a trap. Pricing: The Nickel-and-Dime Details Matter

AWS lets you pick memory from 128 MB to 10,240 MB in 1 MB steps (AWS Lambda Pricing). That granularity can save you money. For instance, I had a function that needed about 550 MB to process images. On AWS, I set it to exactly 576 MB. On Azure, it would've been bumped to 640 MB—that's over 10% more compute you're paying for, and it adds up when you're doing millions of invocations.

My personal pick: start with AWS Lambda unless you have a specific reason to use Azure. The pricing model is more flexible, the memory limit is higher, and the ecosystem is more mature.
